Step Checker - This program allows you to check your work in solving 1-variable equations of any type.  First, enter in the original equation (LHS stands for left hand side of the equation; RHS stands for right hand side).  Then enter in the solutions (no. sol stands for number of solutions; sol stands for solution).  Then you can enter in your result from the first step of solving the equation.  If you make a mistake, the program lets you know 'mistake'.  If everything still checks out with the solutions, you are told 'correct' and can continue on to the next step.  When you are done checking, hit the 'clear' button or 2nd,quit to exit the program.  Very useful for finding at which step you made a mistake when you can't seem to get the right answer.

Log Evaluator - The TI 83/84 can only evaluate log base 10 and natural log.  So you are out of luck if you need to find, for example,  log (base 5) of 25.  Well, you're not out of luck if you have this custom program.  The Log Evaluator can calculate the log in any base.  Just enter the base of the log and the number you are taking the log of, and it will output a very nice looking expression with the answer you are looking for.
